The ASL has gone through some impressive changes lately. We recently held it's first Silent Art Auction. As the President of the ASL , I was charged with a few issues. We had to raise enough money to pay for new wiring because the building inspector shut down the old gallery lights and we needed to make use of about fifty foot of wall space. We raised $2,200! It was enough for the lights and to turn five ten foot wide windows into gallery space. Everyone is chipping in to help make the gallery a more useable space. Mario Gallardo, Dave Gibbs and Greg Shaddix being the main one helping make this happen. I am hosting our ASL web site I have given the ASL a sub-domain (asl.johnart.com). Since I have redesigned my site the ASL is next in line. We hope to move the ASL site over to the University servers this semester. Currently on the ASL site are information about the organization and recent shows.
